Rashida Khan is the Northern Territory Director for NATSIWA and a passionate advocate for improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, families, and communities across remote Australia. With extensive experience living and working in remote communities throughout Arnhem Land and the Central Desert, Rashida brings both professional expertise and lived understanding to her leadership.
Rashida has built a diverse career spanning education, health, corrections, and community development, with a strong focus on cultural safety, workforce capability, and systems-level change. Rashida is also a business owner and entrepreneur, leading multiple ventures across consulting, equine therapy, and agriculture. Her work is grounded in practical, on-the-ground experience, including supporting behaviour management programs for Indigenous youth, contributing to policy and Senate inquiries, and advising national organisations on culturally competent service delivery.
Rashida is deeply committed to empowering First Nations women and strengthening leadership pathways. Drawing on her own family’s journey, her mother being born on Country and witnessing significant progress within two generations, she brings a strengths-based perspective to her work, focused on opportunity, resilience, and lasting change.
